Surrounded with natures pristine beauty and an excellent infrastructure coupled with dedicated and experienced faculty has made the Campus a much sought-after abode of learning.

About college

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM), Mangaluru was established in the year 2007 under the Bhandary Foundation. SCEM is one of the premier technological institutions inculcating quality and value based education through innovative teaching learning process for holistic development of the graduates. The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi with permanent affiliation for most of the programs, approved by the AICTE and the Government of Karnataka. Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for all the Engineering Programs, and the Institution of Engineers (India) (IE(I)). The institution is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12b of University Grants Commission (UGC) act and as an Innovation Cell by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), India. SCEM has been accorded with the recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Institute also houses New Age Incubation Network (NAIN)/k-Tech since 2017 to promote Product Development and Incubation, recognized by MSME as Host Institute (HI) to establish technical Business Incubator (BI) in 2020. SCEM has tie-up with many National and International research organizations, Educational Institutions and Industries.

Currently, there are around 3000 students pursuing various Undergraduate (B.E.), Postgraduate (MBA), M.Sc. (Eng.) and Ph.D. research programs in the Institution and are mentored by around 250 well qualified and experienced Faculty and Staff members. The institute promotes the idea of project based learning through various activities and initiatives in association with various in-house industries, which helps the graduates to improve their expertise. Throughout the program, students will be provided an opportunity and platform by various institutional initiatives to exhibit/improve their talents and skill in national and international events hosted by premier institutes such as IITs/NITs/IIITs/SAEs/International colleges and universities.

The In-house Industries and Start-ups are the main stay of the College. Sahyadri campus is accoutred with all modern acoustic facilities, including a beautifully designed food court and a well-developed sports facility with 400 mts athletic track, gymnasium, etc. Our hostels provide a home away from home experience with round the clock mentoring by mentors. Sahyadri accommodates students from all Backgrounds and Nationality, based on their merit, thus making this campus culturally diverse.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The campus is artistically built in the courtyard system with spacious class rooms, well - equipped laboratories and a central library. The In-house Industries, Start-ups, LLPs and Launchpad are the main hold of the College. Sahyadri campus is accoutred with all modern facilities, including a clean and hygiene food court and a well-developed sports ground with 400 mts athletic track, gymnasium, Hostel for both girls and boys. The infrastructure along with the ambrosial environment nourishes the young minds.
